GET TO KNOW ME

A step into the world of therapy work.

Welcome to website, my name is Kirsty I have been a qualified psychotherapist for many years, and I’m really devoted to helping people change their lives. I hold a level 4 diploma in integrative therapeutic counselling and a level 5 diploma in mental health and trauma practitioner. This skillset really allows for use of variation through weekly therapy sessions, which is why I chose to work in a person-centred approach so my client’s feel at ease and take control and lead of what is shared throughout our journey together.

Counselling can seem very overwhelming and daunting, but it is so rewarding and leaves you with a fresh perspective and a clearer mind. All through my training I had to endure having personal therapy which I feel has helped me to become a better therapist through being able to really feel and align with the experiences and challenges that as individuals we all face at some point in our lives.

My work experience so far has been so varied, I’ve worked in agencies with drug and alcohol and helping others to grow through their inner self by tackling tough addictions. Moving on to working with adults and teenagers who struggle with stress anxiety and depression and everyday life issues. To finally opening the door to helping children in SEND working closely with ADD ASD ADD and Autism and selective Mutism, which I have really enjoyed as it brings out such a creative side to therapy which includes the use of drawings and sand play.

Counselling really allows to capture those moments through past present and future and really opens the connection with yourself on a deeper level. It makes such a huge difference when you can work with a therapist that you are able to trust and can build a strong therapeutic alliance with, as this will allow for the work between myself and you to become more grounded and authentic.

I’m insured regulated and registered (accredited) with the national counselling and psychotherapy society (NCPS) number: NCS22-02594 I follow their code of conduct and regularly attend supervision and uphold to attend further trainings, this allows me to continue to work ethically and safely as a practitioner.

The experience and knowledge I have in these specified areas of work, allows me to have flexibility with the client’s that I work with through resilience, patience, kindness, and empathy. and shows acceptance of us as individuals for who we are.
